Trashboard is an eco-friendly skateboard crafted from a fusion of reconditioned carbon from aircrafts and recycled cardboard. Made in partnership with Airbus to give new life to their discarded aeronautic components, each skateboard is 100% recyclable. The composite material ensures a lighter, more flexible, and more high-performing product for seamless use, all the while preserving the authentic sensations of traditional wooden skateboards. Each is integrated with wooden rails and is finished with a monochrome, hand-silkscreened marble effect applied at the team’s warehouse in the Basque Country, France.

trashboard reduces your ecological footprint

The idea of Trashboard was sparked in 2017 when François Jaubert fashioned an award-winning surfboard from packaging cardboard. He then went on to exhibit his creation across Europe, eventually developing a short film which retells his inspiration of transforming trash into surfboards. Driven by the strong interest in the project, Jaubert developed a process to industrialize his invention over three years wherein he produced several prototypes to develop the reliability and performance of this new material made from cardboard, with application on a skateboard. ‘We’re dedicated to reducing our ecological footprint by using sustainable materials and environmentally friendly manufacturing practices. Each board is crafted with the goal of preserving our planet for future generations,’ says the designer.
