by connecting the olympus ‘air A01’ camera with a smartphone, users can interchange the lens quality via a range of controlling apps, to provide an easy-to-use and enjoyable photography experience. the 147g weighing product which is available in either white or black, holds a 16 megapixel image sensor, a 1/16000 ultra high-speed shutter, and a 3x digital zoom. these features can be governed by the connected mobile device, to manipulate shooting and images, and also for uploading moments to social networking services. the downloadable application is currently limited to eight programs, but the corporation’s ‘OPC hack & make’ project is encouraging developers to create additional photo possibilities through new applications and accessories.

these eight smartphone apps, starting with the ‘genius’, enables users to capture six different patterns of pictures, such as optimal framing, brightness and effect, in a single shot. offering more creative control over the adjustments like the brightness, the colorcreator function produces new expressions with color, saturation and vibrance, by using a sliding ring and tone curve interface. the six other features allows the photographer to apply art filters, capture in multiple viewpoints, adjust shutter speeds, shoot videos, edit images instantly, and provide bluetooth and wifi connections. including a truepicVII image processor in order to process the high-quality and custom pictures, the olympus ‘air A01’ is scheduled to go on sale from march 6th, 2015.
