the 2015 chevrolet ‘camaro commemorative’ and ‘SS editions’ debut at las vegas’ SEMA to celebrate the success and the final year of the fifth-generation car. available as 2LT and 2SS coupes or convertibles, the celebratory performance vehicle includes the RS package and goes on sale in the spring. its exterior features unique 20-inch wheels, an exclusive stripe, front splitter, ZL1 rear spoiler and the commemorative edition fender emblems.

five exterior color combinations are available for the ‘commemorative edition’: black with cyber gray stripe, silver ice metallic with cyber gray lines, summit white with silver streak, ashen gray metallic with silver lines and red hot with black stroke. the interior includes adrenaline red and dark leather seating surfaces, an instrument panel insert and stitching, steering wheel, shift knob and center console lid.

the ‘SS edition’ in a coupe or convertible version, comes with the chevrolet small-block V8 which features a 6.2L engine that delivers up to 426hp and accelerates from 0 to 60mph in 4.7seconds. the powerful car also has the road-racing influenced 1LE performance package that offers unique gearing, suspension tuning and tires that make it possible for more than 1g of lateral velocity. continuing the camaro name, the two chevrolet special editions celebrate the culmination of the segment-leading fifth-generation in a fast, exciting style.

‘the fifth-generation camaro was a success from the moment it was introduced, in attracting both long-time camaro fans and new buyers who have never owned a chevrolet,’ said todd christensen, camaro marketing manager. ‘we wanted to create a special edition camaro that celebrates that success as the fifth generation comes to a close as the end of the model year.’
