danish group of designers – bjorn karman (interaction), kristine boesen (textile) and julie hells eriksen (fashion) collaborated to create an interdisciplinary project dealing with customizable fashion. ‘abstract_’ is a program that can transform text and emotion to textile design and ultimately create clothes.

by programming the method it can analyze the rhythm of the keyboard and the facial expressions through the webcam, resulting in an image of the user’s emotions. the data is visualized where it can be transformed into textile patterns. the ‘abstract_’ project  ultimately results in clothes that add value for customers with personal patterns.
