‘bushcraft series’ by ruben der kinderen

eindhoven-based designer ruben der kinderen has developed ‘bushcraft series’, an ongoing collection of products influenced by survival techniques. the modular system is comprised of a configuration that eliminates the need for screws or glue. assembled based on the principles of nature, the knotted rope joinery provides a simple solution for connecting the legs to the white-stained oak console surface. its tripod construction incorporates three waxed wooden maple dowels that slot into seperate chambers underneath the round wooden top, keeping them from spreading and shifting past the limits of each of the side-walls.

manufactured in collaboration with dutch furniture maker stijlzo, the handmade tables become interchangeable in order to accommodate for a users needs. available as a stool or coffee and side tables, a variation of combinations allow for full personal customization.
