HEAD-genève students’ animal party exhibition at ventura lambrate 2015

‘the animal party’, curated by alexandra midal, and led by marco borraccino and mathieu bassée brings together HEAD-genève students in an exhibition at ventura lambrate during milan design week 2015. ranging from a henhouse lounge, to a nest that accommodates each of the four seasons. clothing that protects your dog from sunshine and rain, and a rodent cage that attaches to IKEA’s BILLY series shelves. the wide-ranging works from the multi-disciplinary students considers how animal and human design relates, and where the future will lead.

also significant, is the third-annual partnership between the school and DuPont™ Corian®. design and technical specialists worked closely with design professor marco borraccino to teach pupils the potential of the material. three original projects in the exhibition are a direct of the workshop which successfully enabled designers to push the limits of their work and Corian® alike.

exhibition design was led by noam toarn and arno mathies with signage created by master’s in design students under the direction of ruedi baur. the show is on display april 14 to april 19th, at ventura lambrate, during milan design week 2015.

the famous ready-to-wear dummies are produced for exotic pet clothing design
hens, pigs, miniature kangaroos, what other animals can possibly be designed for?
‘ornament’ is made of coypu fur, sheepskin, cowhide, and lambskin
influenced by dog harnesses, they literally transform here into fashion accessories–rémi galtier
neoprene blouson jacket that also serves as a dog leash–julien baiamonte
