serge mouille began studying with silver smith gabriel lacroix in 1937, at age 15. he later became the silversmith
director at the school of applied arts in paris. jaques adnet commissioned mouille to develop a lighting series
which he made completely by hand.
in 1953 the first lights were launched and his work quickly became the lighting choice for collectors
and avant-garde architects. the lamps never went into large production, despite their acclaim.
