priestmangoode unveils new business class cabin for south african airways

priestmangoode has continued their collaboration with south african airways for the design of the airline‘s business class cabins for their airbus A330-300 fleet. the color palette of the cabin contrasts the dark anthracite of contemporary south african architecture and cityscapes, with the use of rich saturated golden tones of winter sun and earthen landscapes. additionally, tones including burnt red and blues signify the ethnic color burst of civilization within the landscape.

the new interiors build on the brand identity and design language that priestmangoode developed for the airline’s short haul fleet in 2014. the business class cabin features a custom thompson vantage XL seat. the fabric-upholstered seats provide a more comfortable environment for long journeys. each passenger is offered with a selection of bespoke features including personal stowage area, a 15” high resolution monitor for enhanced viewing and a flat bed that measures close to 2 meters with ample width.
