new zealand designer david trubridge exhibited his new collection ‘spiral islands’ at the ICFF new york. ‘spiral islands’ features lighting, seats and homewares, all constructed from interlocking spirals. both the forms of the lights and seats are derived from a collection wooden bowl that trubridge first designed. the collection was specially created for milan design week 2008. also on display were wooden lights trubridge developed in collaboration with new zealand company essenze.
