maison et objet fall 2016: swedish design company maze interior introduces a new one shelf system ‘pythagoras’, designed by gustav rosén. as the name suggests, the form is influenced by geometry; in the same way that a triangle’s sides are based on two established points, the shelf takes form depending where the brackets are placed. the flexible nature allows the consumer unlimited opportunities to create their own personal style.

maze interior received the green itinerary award this year at maison & objet for their upcycling, waste reduction and use of local production. with pythagoras, the geometrical construction is unique, simple and combines style and function. the shelf system’s triangular formed bracket, made from recycled steel wire, is available in five different colors and can be configured into four different types of shelves, allowing it to be assembled in new ways and also around corners.
the shelf uses powered coated steel from recycled metal, plywood and mdf-board
