gaspard graulich conceives the light-light 5 as a minimalist exploration of what a light can be. composed of 5 primary elements: steel, leather, marble, cord and brass socket, the work achieves a raw balanced aesthetic which makes the bulb itself the subject of focus. by distilling the fixture to its most basic elements while simultaneously concentrating on details the piece achieves a multilayered complexity.
