working to together with italian furniture company B LINE, canadian designer karim rashid has developed ‘ gemma’ and ‘oskar’, a series of rotomoulded polyethylene objects. ‘gemma’ has been conceived as a small armchair that recalls the shape of a precious stone. with its geometric and slightly ironical profile, it provides extremely comfortable seating and, because of the material used and its inclination, lends itself equally to both indoor and outdoor use. besides its use as a wall mirror, ‘oskar’ is built with two hooks that act as front compartments for storing and hanging numerous everyday objects. available in a range of colors including hollywood fuchsia, coral red and topaz blue, the collection of pieces add a splash of excitement to any interior context.
