furniture china expo 2015 set to highlight quality materials + craftsmanship

furniture china 2015 will be the largest it’s ever been this year. approximately 3000 enterprises from 25 different countries are set to exhibit in the combined 350,000 m2 space of the shanghai new international expo center (SNIEC) and shanghai world expo exhibition & convention center (SWEECC) in the city’s pudong district. divided into headlining areas that focus on such categories as outdoor furniture, office furniture, upholstery, and machine and raw materials, from september 9-12th, the international furnishing’s expo will bring high quality materials and craftsmanship to center stage.

among the 220 overseas brands being represented are established companies such as ligneroset, parisot, alsapan, sifas, gautier, countrycorner, meubar, evan, vincentsheppard and verdon, who are now making a name for themselves in the chinese market. one of the special highlights of the furniture china expo is the ‘design of designers‘ program which focuses on giving newer, self producing studios visibility to china’s furniture manufacturers — encouraging a B2B2C platform that connects the upstream and downstream chain of the industry. the purpose is to bring about more business opportunities and better communication. this year’s line-up includes a number of collectives — MZGF studio, sozen design, madebamboo, to name a few — who are using local materials and techniques to create a range of furnishings that bring importance as much to form as they do to material and methods of making.

the organizer assists visitors who come to attend the furniture china 2015 with their chinese visa application. the invitation letter service is open to foreign visitors is open now until the end of august. moreover, airport pick-up shuttles are provided by the organizer free of charge during the exhibition period. discounts are also available and offered to visitors on airfare and hotel accommodation if reservations are made in advance with the official partners of furniture china 2015.
