if you are interested in glass techniques and production, bocci has sent us an exclusive video documenting the ‘making of’ their latest chandelier, ’57’ by omer arbel. the glass lighting piece is made using the technique of hot sculpting, whereby molten glass is gathered from a furnace at the end of a metal rod, manipulated into shape using pincers and a blow hose to form the nodular elements. each is hand-made, rendering them unique.
