‘one by one’ is a series of stools and chairs that intend to distort our visual perception when observed from different angles. spain-born, eindhoven based alejandro ceron‘s design combines methods of craft and mass production, implementing handmade metal frames and colored silicon rings that are uniquely molded. depending on how the rings are composed, each section appears to have more volume than others. the silicon rings are fully customizable, allowing for the user to configure them in whichever way (s)he desires. these playful chairs and stools consider how to combine the last discoveries in technology and materials with traditional crafts and knowledge acquired through time, experience and history.
‘one by one’ was showcased during DMY berlin 2012.
