degré smart radiator by accent wraps you in a thermal bubble

belgian industrial designers tim defleur and benjamin helle, from accent, know the struggles of getting the radiator or air conditioning to start working ASAP when coming back home. for that, they have developed ‘degré’ — an auxiliary heating or cooling system which creates a thermal bubble around the user almost instantaneously. 

playful shape and warm materials make up the design of degré

accent has conceived degré with a playful shape and warm padded materials, inviting one to get closer to it, sit or even lean on. from reading, having a morning coffee, alleviating sore joints to cooling off after a jog, the thermal furniture opens up a wide range of possible usages. the heat is diffused towards the floor, thus growing around the product and user. it also goes through the foam and upholstered fabric in order to get a nice and inoffensive temperature when sitting on it or when laying clothes on to keep them warm. in addition, a padded hot gel bottle rests on the top to be used as a nomad extension of the product. 

the collection includes complementary colors for each piece

the system is also a smart unit that can be controlled from a remote device. to elaborate, the person can set the temperature directly on the minimal interface of the product or via a smartphone application that they can download. finally, for quick and easy transport, a leather loop attached to degré  helps move it across the house where heating or cooling is required.
