swedish artist patrik svensson has drawn a series of flippable illustrations that are understandable both right side up and upside down. the figures are simply outlined in black, with painterly brushstrokes defining the edges. cleverly interpreting the subject in two visual ways, svensson turns the portrait of a lumberjack into a forest tree, when viewed in the opposite direction; a boat into a dolphin, when reversed; and a snow capped mountain into the face of a wolf. take a look at the playful and inventive illustrations below.
