tree art museum by daipu architects

located in songzhuang, beijing china, the  ‘tree art museum’ by daipu architects lies beside the main road of the area. an artistic village  has been refurbished, replaced by large scale blocks – introducing an ambient, public space where people can gather. 
the first courtyard is separated with the main road by a bare-concrete wall. within the exterior division there is a corridor which can be utilized to showcase books and small sculptures with its curvature varying slightly along the path. the second courtyard introduces natural light to the exhibition hall and meeting room on upper level, separating the public from the environment for added privacy. the curvilinear facade draws passers-by to a plaza on the roof for enjoying sunshine, or the views of the ample-sized pool and courtyard.
