in herfell, norway, oslo-based practice reiulf ramstad architects has designed a cluster of three integrated cabins, which are also able to operate individually. each separate structure is envisioned as a clearly defined geometric volume, articulated around an external courtyard space that connects the units. a steep hill borders the site to the northeast, creating a spatial interaction between the natural and built landscape that also results in a beneficial microclimate.
