tokyo-based firm noiz architects were given the honor to design ‘coming full circle’, an exhibition showcasing the work of contemporary chinese artist peng wei. set within the national museum of history in taipei, the studio sought to create a space matching the aesthetic feel and sensitivities of wei.
an LED wall provides even lighting to enhance the delicacy wei’s pieces
to instill such a feeling within the interior, noiz designed an evenly-lit space with elements that make it feel both extremely calm and weightless. doing so allows viewers to focus, at their own pace, at the intricate detail and qualities of each work.

‘coming full circle’ is a body of pieces arranged as a linear movement from the beginning to end of a journey. abstract, triangular elements work in tandem with custom-made long tables to lead viewers throughout, while simultaneously providing a certain weightlessness.
