located in a suburban terraced housing organization in a small valley in north singapore is the ‘T house’ by local practice linghao architects.the metal frame structure composed of 150 millimeter thick members is encased in exposed concrete and block masonry walls painted white. a central open-air courtyard is found to be the heart of the home, a small semi-protected space susceptible to exterior conditions, with natural plant life, animals and weather conditions being able to inhabit the space along with the owners. vertical circulation components spring from thisarea to provide access to the extra bedrooms on the 1st floor with the same material selections and finishes as the rest of the dwelling.aluminum window frames and doors holding frosted glass panels gives the interior private functions the feeling of being outside. the rooftopgarden gives a base for growth as the number of inhabitants in the residence may easily change throughout the years.
